Position Overview
Joining Project ScanBoX as a Junior Computer Vision Developer means becoming an essential part of a compact, energetic team led by our Founder CEO and CTO. This position is designed for a driven individual eager to apply their skills towards developing innovative solutions in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Your contributions will directly influence the advancement of port operations and container security on a global scale. The role would be highbred office and remote London or Liverpool.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the founding team to refine and implement computer vision algorithms that support Project ScanBoX's mission.
Develop AI models for accurate container scanning, health monitoring, and damage detection.
Ensure smooth integration of our technology within pre-existing port infrastructure, enhancing user experience and operational efficiency.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in AI, computer vision, and maritime logistics technologies.
Adapt to the diverse needs of a startup environment, displaying flexibility, inventiveness, and a readiness to tackle various challenges.
Integrating vision models into mobile applications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a closely related field is preferred, however, enthusiastic candidates with relevant experience are still welcome to apply.
MSc Advanced Computer Science is a plus.
Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with major machine learning and computer vision libraries.
Solid understanding of AI and computer vision concepts, particularly OCR and image processing techniques.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to work closely within a small team and directly with company leaders.
Passionate about making a significant impact in a startup setting
Preferred Skills:
Experience in deploying ML-models to the cloud.
Experience in the logistics, shipping, or related sectors is advantageous.
Proactive problem-solving approach and capability to adapt to rapidly evolving priorities.
Experience in developing native mobile applications.
Worked in a start-up would be a plus.
