ACS Business Forum of the Greater Caribbean on “Information Communication Technology as a Driver for an Enhanced Regional Transportation Mechanism”

The CEO of Naxxar Leif Ollivierre was invited to present at 13th ACS Business Forum of the Greater Caribbean on “Information Communication Technology as a Driver for an Enhanced Regional Transportation Mechanism”. The Association of Caribbean States are moving toward digital transformation in the shipping and trade segments. There are many benefits to be gained from digital transformation which will foster frictionless trade within the region driving down the cost of shipping and booter intra-regional trade and international trade. Leif highlighted some of the challenges affecting the region such as cross-border logistics, digital regulations, interoperability, cargo security and visibility. Extensive discussion provide solutions such as easy integration into the Global Value Chains, smart ports and supply chains, paperless and frictionless trade with digitalisation and automation of processes, real-time end-to-end cargo security & visibility with track & trace and the emergence of Techeconomics on the micro and macro level.
