Naxxar Tech Showcases Digital Trade Technology at the 2026 ECCB Growth & Resilience Dialogue

Naxxar Tech was privileged to demonstrate its cargo intelligence platform at the 2026 ECCB Growth & Resilience Dialogue (GRD 2026), joining policymakers, government leaders, development partners, port authorities and private-sector organisations to explore how technology and regional collaboration can strengthen economic resilience across the Eastern Caribbean.

Hosted by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), World Bank, Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Commission and The University of the West Indies, the 10th anniversary of the Growth & Resilience Dialogue was held under the theme:

“Big Push: Resilient Leadership in a Dynamic World Turning Global Uncertainty into Opportunities for Partnerships and Shared Prosperity.”

For Naxxar Tech, the Dialogue provided an important platform to demonstrate how digital technologies can help address some of the practical challenges facing Caribbean trade and logistics. The focus on harnessing systems, processes and technology for smarter trade logistics was particularly aligned with our mission to create more visible, connected and sustainable regional supply chains.

Building More Resilient Caribbean Supply Chains

Small island economies are highly dependent on efficient and reliable international and regional supply chains. Global disruptions can have significant consequences for the movement of food, consumer goods, industrial products and other essential cargo across the Caribbean. Building greater resilience therefore requires more than physical infrastructure. Increasingly, it also requires digital infrastructure capable of providing governments, ports and businesses with better information about how goods are moving through regional supply chains. This is where technologies such as IoT, AI and cargo intelligence can play an important role. Naxxar Tech's platform is designed to provide real-time visibility of cargo and containers as they move through multimodal supply chains, helping stakeholders better understand cargo location, condition and key shipment events. The same digital infrastructure can also support emissions monitoring and reporting, creating a stronger connection between trade efficiency, sustainability and supply-chain intelligence.

Demonstrating Naxxar Tech at GRD 2026

The Growth & Resilience Dialogue provided an opportunity to demonstrate how the Naxxar Tech platform could support the digital transformation of Caribbean trade. Our platform brings together real-time IoT cargo visibility, cargo and container condition monitoring, digital inspection capabilities and emissions monitoring and reporting within a connected digital environment. Rather than relying solely on fragmented shipment updates, organisations can gain greater visibility over cargo as it moves between different transport modes and jurisdictions. For Caribbean businesses importing or exporting goods, this can create a clearer picture of what is happening throughout the cargo journey. For ports, governments and other stakeholders, greater digital visibility can contribute to a wider ecosystem of smarter trade logistics.

Connecting Ports, Cargo and Digital Trade

The Caribbean has an important opportunity to accelerate the development of connected digital trade corridors. Cargo moving between islands frequently interacts with multiple stakeholders, including shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs authorities, ports, road transport providers and cargo owners. Each organisation may hold a different part of the information required to understand the complete cargo journey. Greater digital connectivity can help bring these different pieces together. Our vision is for technologies such as Naxxar Tech to become part of a broader digital trade ecosystem where cargo, ports, customs systems and logistics platforms can increasingly exchange information and support more informed decision-making. This could help create the foundation for smarter, more connected Caribbean supply chains.

Supporting Smarter Ports and Customs

Ports are critical gateways for Caribbean economies, making their digital transformation particularly important. Smart-port technologies can help provide greater visibility of cargo entering and leaving terminals while creating opportunities to improve how information is shared between port operators, customs authorities and other supply-chain stakeholders. Combining IoT cargo intelligence with increasingly digital customs and port processes can support a transition away from fragmented and paper-heavy workflows towards more connected trade environments. The longer-term opportunity is to develop a regional ecosystem where technology supports cargo visibility throughout the journey — from the point of origin through ports and borders to final delivery. For the OECS, greater interoperability and collaboration could be particularly valuable because many individual economies share similar logistics challenges. Regional approaches to digital trade can create opportunities to develop common frameworks, share knowledge and build infrastructure that supports multiple islands rather than approaching every challenge independently.

Turning Cargo Data into Carbon Intelligence

Digitalisation also creates an opportunity to connect trade efficiency with sustainability. Caribbean economies depend heavily on maritime and international transport, making logistics an important component of the environmental footprint associated with regional trade. However, collecting and reporting transport emissions can be complex. Naxxar Tech's approach is to connect cargo visibility with emissions monitoring and reporting, helping organisations better understand the environmental impact associated with moving goods through their supply chains. By making carbon information more accessible, businesses and policymakers can begin moving beyond simply reporting emissions towards using carbon intelligence to support better decisions. This could become increasingly important as international trade moves towards greater environmental transparency and businesses face growing expectations to understand the emissions associated with their supply chains.

Technology as an Enabler of Regional Integration

Perhaps one of the greatest opportunities discussed during GRD 2026 was the potential for collaboration. The Caribbean does not need to approach digital transformation as a collection of isolated markets. Digital technology creates opportunities to connect trade systems, share information and develop solutions capable of operating across multiple jurisdictions. For the OECS and wider Caribbean, this could support the development of more integrated regional supply chains where businesses have greater visibility of cargo movements and governments have access to better information for trade planning and economic decision-making. Technology alone will not deliver this transformation. It will require collaboration between governments, central banks, port authorities, customs administrations, development institutions, shipping companies, logistics providers and technology companies. The Growth & Resilience Dialogue demonstrated the value of bringing these different stakeholders together.

From Digital Trade to Shared Prosperity

The theme of GRD 2026 turning uncertainty into opportunities for partnerships and shared prosperity strongly resonated with Naxxar Tech. Global supply chains are changing rapidly. Geopolitical disruption, climate change, new environmental requirements and accelerating technological development are creating challenges for economies around the world. For small island states, these changes can create additional vulnerabilities. But they also create opportunities. The Caribbean has the potential to adopt emerging technologies without being constrained by decades of legacy digital infrastructure. IoT, AI, smart ports, digital trade platforms and greater regional data interoperability could allow the region to develop a new generation of connected trade infrastructure. At Naxxar Tech, we believe the goal should be clear: make Caribbean trade more visible, more efficient, more secure, more sustainable and more resilient.

Continuing the Conversation Across the Caribbean
