We are proud to have been awarded a Transport Research and Innovation Grant from Connected Places Catapult the UK's innovation accelerator for cities, transport & place leadership. Over the last decade, the grant has funded more than 400 companies in their efforts to improve the transport industry, whilst helping to grow the economy and support skilled UK jobs. Naxxar Technology is delighted to be supported by both Connected Places Catapult and the Department of Trade.

Such grant funding is vital as we navigate through the complexities of the modern world, the maritime & ports sector stands as a vital gateway, linking nations, facilitating trade, and addressing some of the most pressing challenges of our time. From climate change and environmental sustainability to economic development and social equity, the maritime industry holds the key to unlocking solutions that can create a positive impact on a global scale.

Naxxar Technology is proud to be working in partnership with Connected Places Catapult and the Department of Trade to develop a Logistic Carbon Twin. This would provide users with end-to-end carbon emissions monitoring, reporting and verification, integrating low-cost plug-and-play IoT and AI technology. The AI algorithm Naxxar Technology is developing aims to provide accurate and actionable carbon emissions modelling using the GLEC standard. Improved visibility will empower users to better optimise their shipping journeys or use cross-modal shifting (air-sea) to minimise carbon emissions with granular real-time information on each shipment in their supply chain. Naxxar Technology’s mission is to accelerate innovative and sustainable solutions for global trade.

Working with Connected Places Catapult and the Department of Trade is critical in creating innovative transformational solutions for today’s global trade challenges.
